Having storage is very important for a space as it helps to keep it tidy and clean. You can never have too much storage so when designing your home or project try and add as much hidden storage as possible. Trust me it will come in handy one day.

Simple ways to create more storage.

One of the simple and easy ways to create more hidden storage is to buy furniture that is multi-functional for example buying a bed with hidden drawers underneath. There is surprisingly a lot of day-to-day objects we use that can be made as multipurpose furniture. For example, you can now get shelves that open giving you more space for your keys and anything else you would want to put there.

Some of the best objects for hidden storage are

1.      Beds with hidden drawers.

2.      Mirrors that are cabinets.

3.      Benches with hidden compartments.

If you are down for a little bit of DIY storage here are a few ideas for you. One of my favourite ways to add hidden storage is by turning the steps on your stairs into drawers. This is a fantastic way to create storage and is a good DIY project. My next favourite DIY storage is a flip down wall desk. When making the desk you can add a little shelf that gets hidden every time you fold desk back up. This also allows you to have more room when the desk is not in use. If you want to be a bit more adventurous with your DIY project, you can build some hidden storage into your panelling. There are lots of DIY projects to give you more hidden storage throughout your home these are only a few ways.
